About Me

I am Ronnie Yaacoub. I was born in Long Beach, California and have lived in Vancouver, Washington for eleven years. I love the northwest, because it has allowed me to explore the outdoors-man in me. I love to camp, fish, stargaze, hike and travel. I also do some photography on the side, which is something I have gotten better at through the years and seems to be growing into a real job. However, for the time being, I am working at Peace-health Southwest medical Center as a patient transporter. I am also currently serving in the Navy Reserve as a master-at-arms.

I am attending WSU Vancouver, so that I can achieve a degree in Digital Technology and Culture with a concentration on social media. I am interested in social media, because it is such a new industry, however, it has already impacted the world in a major way. It has brought many people together, created new industries for jobs and has given everyone a voice in the U.S.A. However, my blog will be exploring the negative impacts social media is currently causing in the U.S.A. This is something that I am passionate about, because I hope to work in the social media industry and try to make it a better environment for all. I would hope that I could be a social media content strategist or do something in social media marketing.
